Preserving the story of model aviation, one life at a time.

The AMA History Project collects, preserves and shares the personal histories of the people who shaped the hobby and sport of model aviation — designers, manufacturers, competitors, club organizers, writers and volunteers.

Each entry in this archive is a biography or autobiography, many assembled from the subject’s own recollections, magazine articles, Hall of Fame nominations and family contributions, then transcribed and edited by History Project staff.

Every document is available here both as a readable web page and as the original PDF. The web text is produced automatically from the PDF, so the original remains the authoritative version.
