Andrew Everett

Andrew Everett graduated from Lincoln High School in Tallahassee and has been admitted to the University of Florida in Gainesville. A check for $2,500 has been sent to the university on his behalf. His planned major is Engineering.

At Lincoln High, Andrew earned admission to the National Honor Society for three consecutive years and served as school Brain Brawl Captain for a similar period. In sports, he won a fouryear varsity letter for swimming. An active flier with the Seminole Radio Control Club for four years, Andrew joined the Moccasin Gap Modelers in 1992 as a charter member, where he immediately assumed the job of newsletter editor. He recently demolished his Sig 4-Star 40 and is now building a replacement. In the meantime, he has been flying his Dad’s Goldberg Cub.

As a Boy Scout at age 15, he attained the highest rank: Eagle Scout. Church is important to Andrew, and he serves as an usher at Fellowship Presbyterian. To earn money, he put in a twoyear stint working at a local McDonald’s and then switched to Pizza Hut Delivery. A self-starter, Andrew bought his first model with money earned by mowing lawns. In scholastics, he has completed such challenges as fourth-year German and Calculus. In his senior year of high school, He became a National Merit Scholarship finalist.

Recognizing the importance of communication, Andrew wants to become fluent in German, Spanish, French, Russian, and Japanese, while also increasing his knowledge of computer engineering – an ambitious program for a talented young man.
