Beverly D. Smith

Commenced modeling in 1929 with rubber-powered ROG and solid scale models. Participated in Nats in 1934, 1935, 1936, and 1938. Has covered numerous Nationals as photographer for American Modeler (then Air Trails) and Model Airplane News. Had construction articles published for gas free-flight Gee-38 Flash and scale Republic Seabee. Presently, manufacturers’ representative for industrial production tools. Became consultant in 1962 for development and marketing of Epoxy paint in the hobby field. Obtained pilot’s license in 1963. Has over 4000 flying hours, including time in Stearmans, a Cessna, a Twin Beech, and P-38s.
