Age 46. First model was a Baby ROG, some 30 years ago; wonderful education in plane adjustment! Hand Launch gliders next, then Free Flight rubber. Worked with Frank Zaic during depression years – much building and flying. Associate Editor of Model Craftsman for several years. QM [Quartermaster] Corps during military service. After leaving service, got into Radio Control with early WAG outfit, a couple of RK 61 rigs. Works for Varitype Corporation as Manager of Product Planning. Early model thrill: second place in Indoor Hand Launch glider at New York City Junior Birdmen contest, trophies presented personally in Carnegie Hall by Amelia Earhart. Married, two boys, both Radio Controllers. Endorsed by current Vice President Bill Dunwoody and general support of Long Island Association of Model Airplane Clubs.
