His high school activities included being a cornerback on the varsity football team and a quartermiler on the varsity track team. He was a member of the Key Club and served as president of the Poetry Club.

In his free time, Jeffrey likes to “scratch” records as a deejay. He has served as a Red Cross volunteer office assistant and a computer programmer. He did similar work for the Veterans Administration Rehabilitation Center.

Jeffrey’s aeromodeling career began with plastic models. He progressed to Hand-Launched Gliders, then to Control Line, with a primary interest in Speed models.

Jeffrey participates in AMA competitions throughout California, Oregon, Washington, and Indiana. He won Junior A Speed and 1/2A Profile Proto at the 1995 National Aeromodeling Championships. The Profile model he used was published in the April 1999 issue of Model Aviation magazine as a construction article.

Jeffrey stated, “I have enjoyed my modeling activities for the chance to compete, learn, and evolve.”
