Robert Takacs, Torrington, Connecticut, is at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida. He has always enjoyed aviation, and got started with Radio Control in 1981. His club is the Balsa Bandits where he has served as safety officer, newsletter editor, and secretary. He also worked on the successful acquisition of a new club flying site.
As an instructor, he helped many new fliers. As a competitor, he has flown Q-500. He competed at the famous Rhinebeck WWI Jamboree three times, and gained several prizes at clubsponsored fun-fly events. His next goal is to learn all about Helicopters.
His career goal is to work in research and development in the aerospace industry.
