District 8 Candidates

Ted White, Bedford, TX. If elected Vice-President, several objectives which I will pursue are: I. I plan to appoint Associate Vice-Presidents and committee members who are responsive to our fliers’ needs and will pass on to me the problems and issues which arise in their areas. Persons selected must be qualified and prepared to work for the betterment of AMA and the district. With my contacts around the district, I feel I can gather these dedicated people.

II. It is also important to establish a better line of communication with more people in all facets of our sport (U-Control, Free Flight, Radio, Control, etc.). This involvement of more members should result in better solutions to our District VIII problems.

III. One way to promote participation in contests and flying events is to advertise future events in the district column in Model Aviation. More participation can aid us in getting media attention and increased interest in model aviation by the public. I would also like to feature past events (with pictures if possible) in the column.

IV. Be assured that my aim is to expend every AMA dollar as efficiently as possible V. If elected, I will attempt to better represent our regional interests and needs to AMA. My objectives are based upon thirty years of involvement in AMA as both a member and competitor, and as a small businessman in the field of aeromodeling.
